Weston Schools Reduce Electricity Usage

Congratulations to Country School, the winner of this year's first Energy Smackdown.  From September through December, Country School’s electricity usage was 18.1%  lower than last year!   Country School staff and students will be treated to an ice cream sundae party on a date selected by Principal Steve Shaw.  Field School came in second place, using 14.6% less energy during the same time period, Woodland School used 8% less; the High School used 7.5% less, and the Middle School used 7.7% less. Compared to last year, the overall percentage used in the district was reduced by 12%, saving more than $30,000. 

 

“Smackdown Two” will run from January to May, with the winner being announced in June.
