Country School Principal Search Process

Department:  Superintendent's Office
Type:  Administration

Volunteers Needed to Assist in Country School Principal Search Process

Due to the retirement of Stephen Shaw as of June 2010, the Weston Public Schools is seeking volunteers to serve on the Search Committee for the new Principal of Country School.

The Search Committee consists of administrators, teachers, and parents.  Participation on the committee requires a substantial time commitment of afternoon/evening meetings in mid-January to mid-February.

If you are interested in serving on the Search Committee, please send a letter and/or email to Dr. Cheryl Maloney, Superintendent, Weston Public Schools, 89 Wellesley Street, Weston, MA 02493 or maloneyc@mail.weston.org by December 15 indicating why you wish to serve and what you can offer as a member of the committee.  The first Search Committee meeting will be Thursday, January 7 at 5:00 pm at Case House.  Since we expect more volunteers than can be accommodated, we will make every effort to select a balanced and representative group for the committee.  There will be other opportunities to participate in the search process.  In December we will be hosting Focus Groups that are open to all members of the school community.

Country School Principal Parent Focus Group
Assistant Superintendent Amber Bock invites interested parents and community members to attend a Focus Group to discuss the qualities and characteristics that people would like to see in the new principal.   We will meet on Friday, December 11 at 9:00 am in the Country School Library.

Please continue to watch our website, Westword, The Town Crier, and the listservs as more information will be forthcoming.
