The Weston High Theater Company will premier its new original one-act play There Will Be No Journey at Weston High on Thursday, February 25 and Friday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m.
There Will Be No Journey, scripted by its acting ensemble under the direction of John Minigan, is an intense but sometimes comic look at the question of how families withstand change and the lengths to which a parent might go to preserve a child's safety.
There Will Be No Journey is the ninth in a series of plays written for winter performance by Theater Company members. The production will be Weston's entry into the 2010 Massachusetts High School Drama Festival, with a performance at 2:00 p.m. at Weston High on Saturday, February 27.
Many of Weston's nine original entries in the festival have been state finalists and two have been named state champions of the 112-school festival. Don't miss this year's show!
Tickets are available at the door. $5 general admission for the Thursday and Friday shows. Admission on Saturday is $10 and is good for a full day of performances by the eight schools performing in the festival's preliminary round at Weston High, beginning at 8:50 a.m. Click here for more details.
