Weston High School has identified 21 different initiatives for 2010-11 to make an excellent school become even more excellent. We have already begun to implement many of them; others will be implemented as soon as it is feasible. Click here for details on each of these initiatives, including the impact they are expected to have on education and student life and how they are linked to our core values and to the NEASC standards we have established for our self study scheduled for next year. All of these initiatives are also linked to the superintendent’s five year plan and stem from the collaborative work of many people and groups including the School Council, Principal’s Advisory Council, Curriculum Cabinet, PE, Health & Wellness, Student Activities, PTO, and NEASC. Principal Parker will be meeting with many more students directly next year to discuss many of these initiatives and to engage them in their implementation All of these initiatives reflect our desire to remain a top tier high school well into the 21st century. Excellence is not static. It is dynamic. Weston High School recognizes and reflects this dynamic in this important work. . |
