Superintendent Announces Elementary Literacy Specialist

Superintendent Cheryl Maloney is pleased to announce the selection of Katharine Odell as Elementary Literary Specialist for the 2012-2013 school year. 

 

Since 2005, Ms. Odell has served as the Elementary Literacy Coordinator, K-5 Literacy for the Wellesley Public Schools.  Prior to this, she was the Department Head, Elementary Spanish, Wellesley Public Schools, 2004-2005; Literacy Specialist, Framingham Public Schools, K-5 from 2002-2004; Adjunct Faculty, Reading Recovery Teacher Leader, Lesley University, from 1998-2002; Reading Recovery Teacher, Barbieri School, Two-Way Bilingual Program, Framingham, 1997-2002, and First Grade Teacher, Barbieri School, 1995-1997l; Third Grade Teacher, Rafael Hernandez School, Boston, 1994-95; and Art Teacher, Greenwich Country Day School, Greenwich, Connecticut.  Ms. Odell earned a Masters in Teaching. from Simmons College, and a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University.  She also attended Lesley College for Reading Recovery Teacher-Leader Training.
