Parking Modifications I ask that all Field School staff, parents and visitors cease parking in any of the spots in the parking lot closest to the library. This lot will now be solely for the use of library patrons. The school made this arrangement with the library to balance the spots that will taken off-line when the new Field School construction fence is extended into the parking spots behind the library. This parking arrangement will last throughout the construction of the new Field School. Moving forward all FS staff, parents and visitors will have the option to park either:
1. on the front lawn within the recently erected snow fence 2. in the existing spots in front of the school or 3. in the newly created parking extension off the basketball court in the front of the school.
National Geography Bee
The grade 4 and 5 students of the Field School recently participated in the 25th Annual National Geography Bee, a nation-wide contest open to students in grades 4-8.
All students took part in the preliminary rounds of the Bee the week of January 2nd during class time. The top scoring students were invited to participate in the school-wide Bee on January 8th. They finalists were (front row, left to right) Hayden Zeller, Tomily Torres, Brigitte Belanger, Ben Guzovsky, Alton Jenkins (top row, left to right) Benjamin Chen, Debbie Lilly, Jonathan Enfield, Daniel Lydon (2nd place) and Josh Corbett. The school winner, Brigitte Belanger, will be given a qualifying test to determine if she will be moving on to the state Bee, and then perhaps, the national Bee.
The schedule for 2013 MCAS and ERB assessments can be found here.
