Come together against Underage Drinking Tougher laws and greater awareness have reduced teen fatalities due to intoxication and Weston has made progress controlling underage alcohol consumption. This is an important issue, especially during Prom and
Graduation season. Call parents who are hosting underage drinking to express your concern and displeasure; and clearly communicate to students that attendance at these parties is not permitted. Teens who have regular and open communications about important issues with their parents are more likely to try to live up to their parents’ expectations and less likely to drink, use drugs, or engage in early sexual behavior.
