Dear parents, students and the ‘Weston Community’:
I write to say hello and to introduce myself. I am the new assistant principal at the high school. Weston is not new to me as I served as assistant principal of WHS from September 2008 to August of 2010. I am excited to be back after spending some time at the college level. Most recently, I served as the assistant director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Endicott College in Beverly.
My goal for the year is to make this transition as seamless as possible for students, teachers and parents. Since I left in 2010, I know that Ms. Cole, Mr. Parker, the guidance department and other school groups and individuals have implemented many improvements, initiatives and programs. I hope to continue to work on these initiatives, and to support students and teachers in the best ways possible. I believe in approaching things from a team perspective and I am excited to work with Ms. Reid and Ms. Wong again, who are a big part of the [assistant] principal’s team.
I think my college experience will enable me to be more helpful in student development as I have a better understanding of what students need transitioning into the college level. In general as assistant principal I will try to do things in a way that supports students and is consistent and fair.
I am excited to be back in Weston where the students, faculty, staff and parents are all dedicated to excellence both in and outside of the classroom. I hope that all of you know that you are always welcome to stop by my office-just to say hello, or to talk about anything of importance to you.
I look forward to meeting all of you.
