Grant Funding for the 2012-2013 School Year

Title I, Part A:  School Improvement

In FY’13 we received funds ($64,723) to hire tutors to support at risk students in mathematics and literacy at qualifying schools.  Qualification is based on free and reduced lunch program percentages and district performance percentages.  The allocation amount for the 2013-2014 school year is $59,934.

 

Title II, Part A: Improving Educator Quality

In FY’13 we received funds ($38,501) that supported professional development for faculty, including the Teacher Mentor Program and the Weston Professional Development Academy. Funds from this grant also supported the implementation of a new teacher evaluation model and the support of ongoing curriculum and instruction development. The allocation amount for the 2013-2014 school year is $36,895.

 

Academic Support-632

In FY’13 we received funds ($4,000) that supported students academically at the High School.  This academic support grant is targeted to students at risk of failing MCAS in Math, Science and English Language Arts.  The allocation amount for the 2013-2014 school year is expected to be $4,000.

 

Quality Full Day Kindergarten-701

In FY’13 we received funds ($78,764) to support the implementation of a full day kindergarten program by covering the kindergarten teacher and kindergarten instructional aide salaries for an extended day. The allocation amount for the 2013-2014 school year is expected to be $78,764.

 

Race to the Top-201

In FY’13 we received funds ($20,119) to support the implementation of a new K-12 teacher evaluation model.
