Weston Public Schools Federal Grants 2015-2016
Each year as part of the application process for federal grant funding, we contact the private schools who enroll Weston residents to invite feedback on how the current grants have been utilized and responses to our preliminary plans for the use of these funds in 2016-2017, as described below.
Title I, Part A: School Improvement
In FY’16 we received funds ($81,174) to hire tutors to support at risk students in mathematics and literacy at qualifying schools. Qualification is based on free and reduced lunch program percentages and district performance percentages. The allocation amount for the 2016-2017 school year is $73,307.
Title II, Part A: Improving Educator Quality
In FY’16 we received funds ($36,863) that supported Highly Qualified professional development for faculty and administrators, including the Teacher Mentor Program and the Weston Professional Development Academy. The allocation amount for the 2016-2017 school year is yet to be determined.
Quality Full Day Kindergarten-701
